is there a safe way to clean my engine? i used engine degreaser on my last car, my 82 t/a and it seemed to work pretty well. what should i use to clean my 38oo? any precautions i should take? i know the lt1 guys said you have to cover up your optispark so it doesn't get wet...anything like that on the 38oo?
    thanks

I just did mine not too long ago. I powerwashed it and it didn't come too clean, i used foamy engine bright. A great product I recommend to all of you guys is Spray Nine, you can pick it up at a home depot or ace hardware for like $10 a jug. Almost anyone can find a use for it. I been meaning to make a post for everyone i will later. Anyone this **** works wonders with a brush on the engine. Get some kind of bursh and spray some of it on the engine. It's an alkaline cleaner. I also use it to clean up the paint under the hood. It'll work wonders man. Trust me. I use to have one of the dirtiest engines and now it's probably in the top 25% in my year for being the cleaniest. Little bit of advice if you have any hot wires running from the battery. Make sure you don't get them wet because if the car is on and you closed your hood they'll catch on fire. That happened to me once. You probably won't have to cover up to much unless you get crazy and power wash everything. Go easy on it though use a light spray. Hope I could help.
