This is a weird question but, is there a right or wrong way to wax your car? I use Meguire's Gold class.

What's the correct way? I have waxed once and I did swirl I've heard you're supposed to apply from front to back. It came out well the first time.

Yea, i guess i'm redundant but bored regardless, I don't know how it came about but everyone thinks your supposed to wax in a buffing motion. It might not effect older cars with bad paintjobs on them but on newer painted cars it can leave a lot of scratches and even rub dirt in more. Like everyone said before you want to just wipe it on from front to back and side to side on the bumpers. Basically following the contours of the car.
Thanks sac2165. I'm going to give it a shot tonight, every time I wash it it freakin' rains!
