Dom they are not that expensive, True HID is expensive but the ones that simulate HID look good and are priced good

Oh I thought you did the real HID conversion doh.

Well hope you're happy with your new Halogens! Did you do it on a 98+ Firebird? I was going to do that on mine before it got smashed :( .

Whiteshark: Try this one http://www.autooptiks.com
Dom: Yeah I did it on my 99, I must say it does give it a differnt look at night. I think our birds already look mean at night just the way our light are.

Find out what kind of headlights you have. I think they are 4001 low beam and 4003 for high beams. Tell me that and I can tell you what you need. However you can get the fog lights no problem

not hard at all, all you have to do is
1) Take off black plastic aroudn the headlights (3 screws)
2) Remove headlight
3) Cut off Black adapter
4) Strip wires and splice a connector that goes on the light bulb it self (You'll understand better when you see the bulb)
5) Put bulb is converstion kit
6) Connect wires to light
7) Put your new headlight back in the housing
8) Test to see if it works
9) Put plastic back on
10) Enjoy

P.S. Did you get the H7UH 100w??

Sure did? How big a difference is it from the stock headlight output?

you'll notice a difference, I though the beams were more concintrated on the road and a lot brighter.
Did you get both low and high beams and the fog lights?

I like the custom HID job I did on my 95' Camaro. And I didnt even have to buy any "conversion kits". I used the stock headlight housing. :D

Here's some pics:

Here's a pic of the bulbs i have now. I bought these to replace the old ones on the bottom pic that blew. These emit really white light...

Here's a pic of the old bulbs I had before they blew. These also emitted a white light but with a bluish tint. They were ok but I like the ones I have now better, cuz they have pure white light

im prolly gonna get the conversion kit off of autooptiks.com but im curious as to how hard is it to just take out stock headlights and put in the bulb.. any melting or mishaps more likely to happen? because if im gonna get the 9006 blue vision phillips bulbs and converstion kit is 50 bucks so money in my pocket is always cool..thanks
