• How to clean sound deadener under hood?

The sound deadener under my hood has salt on it from the roads... How do I clean it, and if its been dirty for about 2 months will it hurt it? its hella cold out there to take it off and clean it. How do you take it off anyways???

I removed mine last year in april because it had a white haze all over it. I thought it was from road salt, but I didn't drive my car in the snow at all. I removed it, brushed on soap and water, then painted it black again after it dried. A month later, more white haze marks
Next time, I'll just paint it with white haze paint

mine was stained white. i took it off and spraypainted it black. It looked like new. At car shows i use engine dressing to darken it up really nice.
