I saw in one post that you just sprayed simple green all over your engine and washed it off with a hose. Do you have to cover up all the electrical stuff or can you just spray the simple green on that too??

not that i'm trying to get on your nerves, but a mechanic i worked with told me that the stuff that makes the engines shine isn't good for the engine. i didn't ask why, and i don't know if the tire one stuff is the same...but that's what he told me.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335

I just covered the computer and the distributor.
Used some degreaser, and then blasted the water!
Worked like a charm...1997 silver Camaro RS
|T-Type Powered|
Looking for a local F-Body club in K/W, Ontario, Canada?

Thanks.
Yeah, it was real dirty.....I don't think the previous owner paid much attention to appearance  . I just washed all the dust and dirt off with soap and water then went over it with some Meguiars. :D94 Firebird, 3.4 V6, Red, M5
SLP CAI, Accel 8mm Superstock Wires, Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs, Borla Exhaust, BMR Strut Tower Brace, 180* Thermostat, B&M Ripper Shifter
http://www.cardomain.com/id/94bird

He wrapped it with some sort of duct insulation or something that's supposed to help keep it cool during the summer. I forget what it's called though.
