I saw in one post that you just sprayed simple green all over your engine and washed it off with a hose. Do you have to cover up all the electrical stuff or can you just spray the simple green on that too??

not that i'm trying to get on your nerves, but a mechanic i worked with told me that the stuff that makes the engines shine isn't good for the engine. i didn't ask why, and i don't know if the tire one stuff is the same...but that's what he told me.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28<br />323/335Comment

I just covered the computer and the distributor.
Used some degreaser, and then blasted the water!

Yeah, it was real dirty.....I don't think the previous owner paid much attention to appearance :mad: . Holy Cow!! This is from like over a year and a half ago...I thought everyone had like simplified their engine bays till I saw how old it was....

He wrapped it with some sort of duct insulation or something that's supposed to help keep it cool during the summer. I forget what it's called though.
