Weather Stripping Care

I was just curious if anyone had any tips or product recommendations to keeping the weather stripping on their car soft and pliable? With my convertible, I'm really wanting to keep the weather stripping in as good shape as possible, as long as possible to prevent cracking and leaks. Thanks as always for any help guys.

I think dielectric grease is what I remember the "fix it" guy who worked at the corvette plant recommended. Read it in corvette fever i think.

Same stuff that you would use to put plug wires on.

Just about any product silicon based should work well. What I found to be great is UV2, however is very hard to find. Any high quality silicon spray will work well. Dielectric grease will also work because it is primarily silicon that has been modified to withstand very high temperatures. It is messy though.
