Can I see some big pics of your engine bay? You might want to post a link rather then post a pic. I'm using a modem now. I'm almost done with mine and just wanted to compare and see what I missed.

Okie dokey - there wasnt a whole lot of life left in the batteries so the pictures don't look great but they are BIG.

                I like your engine bay.
How did you get the yellow on the tubes that hold the hood up?

Sweet pics. I think those hood shocks deathbuzz has are painted. I was debating painting mine. I'm basically done with the looms, just need to clean the rest of the engine bay and I'll take some pics. It only took a few hours. 2-3 maybe. I though I was going to spend days on this. The main part that's left is the spark plug wires. I don't feel like doing them until I'm under the car again.

JC Whitney is a little cheaper than summit, depending on how much you want. Somebody should list how much they used.

The stuff at Pep Boys is smaller lengths and more expensive.

My hood struts are actually just more of the wire loom. I first put some smaller loom around it, but it left too big of a gap on the back of the strut. So around the smaller loom i put bigger loom. It was just easier than painting ( you ahve to take the struts off and be very careful around the metal shafts ) and it still looks pretty good.

I posted a little while ago how much I used and the prices from JC Whitney... let me find it again:

                      I bought and used most of 25' of 1/4 ( $4.69 ), 25' of 3/8" ( $5.99 ), 25' of 1/2" ( $6.79 ) and as for the biggest stuff ( 3/4" ), i only used like 10 feet of it but they only sell 25' coils of it ( $8.99 ).

I was thinking about it, but I like it in red. It kinda breaks up the engine bay and makes it stand out.

DeathBuzzz, how did you paint the bowtie on the underhood cover?? I did mine the other day but it didnt turn out like I wanted. I had planned on taking the whole hood off, taping off the bowtie then spray painting it but no one was around to help me take the hood off. Then I was going to do the same thing with the hood on the car and just covering everything up. Well that was taking too long. I ended up just using a small paint brush and doing it that way. Is that how you did yours??
