  • Clear Corner Lens Light Bulbs (3157)

I just installed some clear corners, I'll post pics soon. The stock 3157 (dual filament used for the DRLs/turnsignal) bulbs are no where near white enough for my taste, in fact they look like an ugly faded yellow.

Who has replaced them with ultra bright white bulbs? I want to know what is a quality bulb that really is bright white and not some cheap thing that will fade. What do you guys suggest, thanks.

Oh, and a good replacement white bulb suggestion for the little 194 that goes next to it would be nice too, thanks.

Be Careful! The white Turn Signal Bulbs in the front of the car (with clear covers) are Illegal, in ALL States. The most common cost for the Ticket is approximately $95.00. Get a cop that had a bad day, then...you know. I have the Clear Turn Signal Covers for the front of my car, but I have the Amber Turn Signal Lights behind them. I work as a cop in Philly, and I try not to write tickets for something as lame as that, but if someone is giving me a hard time...well, you know.
Just want to give you a "Heads Up" on what can happen.

Thats true, If I were you, I'd get the yellow bulbs so when they are on it will glow yellow and off they will still be white for show.

I have the super whites in mine and they look good.. Like they said though they are illega. I have two warnings on them but I will not take them out until a ticket comes down. P.S. Even with the superwhites they parking lamps give off a green color. I am not sure what is causing this maybe there is comething in the case or lens????? anyways hope this helps

You can get them at most parts stores, if not then at some japanese auto place, the number isn't 3057 though its 3157. Watch out though, they suck, they melt and stuff.

ok first off dont get APC...PIAA is the best bulb I have found so far....all the other bulbs I have put in there have gotten discolored and/or melted  ...you pay a pretty penny for the bulbs 20$ for 2 of em but its worth it in my opinion...and the 194's you can go all sorts of colors...its a more used bulb in imports...oh BTW in the good japanese bulbs the part # isnt 3157..I forget what it is...its in the 9's but it works the same...the 194 is the same however...
