On the underside of my hood that insulator stuff has got some white water stains on it. Instead of trying to get a whole new one. I was wondering if it would be ok to take it off and spray paint it flat black with some high temp engine paint? If so I was then going to air brush a chevy bowtie on it. I just want to get rid of those nasty water stains
Funny, I actually did that last year. I pulled the Underside off and painted it flat black. Results: It got water stains on it about a month later. I guess everytime it rains and water gets up there, or when you use soap when washing your ride, it'll get up under somehow to mess your new paint job with that ugly white stain. My suggestion, paint the whole undercoating ugly white, that'll fix it!
