Well i am new to the board and i wanted to know what everyone thinks of my car.... It started life as a 1997 RS and well i just thought it needed more what do you all think
Sucks that you need that front plate, kinda takes away from the car. Other than that I think it looks bad azz. Those wheels go surprisingly well with your car. The only suggestion I might make, and this is for all of the early 4th gen camaros IMHO, is to paint the area around the headlights to match your body color. I did this with my pop-up headlight bezels, and I think it really makes the car look better. I'm glad to see that your mirrors are already painted, I disagree with the black there as well. Overall I give it a

relaly nice car. I really really think you should take that front plate off.

that is reallyyyy nice, i love it, the new SS rims look nice on the 97 version too I hope I can save up some moola, and get them too
i got to run the front plate here in Virginia but it is easly removed at shows (only 4 screws holding it on... plus i figure that it looked better than the nasty front plate bracket that the factory designed...... that thing was just to damn big and would scratch the paint on the front of the car terrible.... i figured i would save the 3 thou.. i spent in paint and body from scratches by mounting it that way.....

Very nice car. I LOVE those rims, I've been wanting to get them for my car. They look great on yours. How much did you get them for? Nice job .

But really it looks good. Everything goes real nice together. What side skirts are those? Your car is very unique, I think the hood has alot to do with it. Is that just a hood scoop on the stock hood? If so someone did a real nice job. Only thing I would recommend is some nice tint (I always recomend tint) or maybe a rear valance but I'm assuming you like the look of no valance (I think it looks good too). Nice car!!!
the side skirts are from a company out of california called Dealership Designs.... they sell a whole kit for the camaro i think there web address is www.dealershipdesigns.com.... :just thinking not real sure i will find it: and the hoodscoop was molded into the stock hood and a hole was cut for it to be functional as soon as i can make an airbox for it.... :still working on bending the sheetmetal for that:... and as for the rear valance... i never liked them i had one on my car when i first brought it... just made the back end of the car look too tall.... as for the rest of the car.... i dont know if you can tell from the pics. but i did add the RKSport roadster style wing..... i will get some pics of that up soon.....
and to answer the other question about what i got under the hood...
it is a 3.8 v6, auto. trans and Y87 package. bolt ons include 160 degree thermo , throttle body spacer, alum. driveshaft and flowmaster rear section which has gotten me a best of 15.57 in the 1/4 mile... i also have a set of RKsport headers high flow cat and cat back exhaust, along with transgo shiftkit and corvette servo which i am saveing the money to get put in very soon..
any other questions just ask.... and thanks for all the positive feedback
