tint question

the tint that fades from black to silver or grey what is that called??? i realllllllly like it and think it would look good on my car. also where can i find the standards for what tints legal for my car and whats not. I live in Maryland

I suggest going a little darker than the legal limit, I stayed within VA laws and it's not as dark as I'd hoped for.
