sorry guys, what color should i paint my calipers?

ok, would decide myself but I need a little bit of input because my car color is so hard to match. I have a green/purple chameleon bird and i don't know what to use. Black hides them, they already are silver and they will get dirty quick. any input?

I would go with Black but get some caliper decals in an accent color. I have black calipers with silver Trans Am caliper decals on my car and it looks very nice.

ya i would only do black if i had a decal. I wouldn't want to but trans am on them though. I wish there were some that say firebird.

I emailed the guy who's auctioning them on ebay for $8 a set, and he said he is in the process of getting more "FIREBIRD" and "FORMULA" decals.. he has "FIREHAWK" and "WS1" in stock... be nice to have a "3800 V6" set..

I'll post when he tells me they are in..

i would buy some that said "firebird" for sure. Especially for 8 dollars. Does anyone else think that anything other than black would look good? I could try a green to match but it would be tough. What about silver? does it look really bad? anyone have pics of silver calipers. Do you paint the things under the calipers too? there is alittle bit of metal around the edges.

one more ? Do you guys all use spray paint? is there anyway to do it with a brush or do they only sell the high temp stuff as a spray. I would think using a brush would keep it from getting everywhere

Check out this thread. He painted his white/almost "ceramic" looking with the silver decals... Painted Calipers

I've seen them painted Red and Black.. but not silver.

Just heard back from the guy. He's willing to do group purchases and/or work with us on custom decals such as the 3800 V6... I'll post a new thread with the details on colors/fonts/max number of letters/group prices as soon as I hear back on those details.

He did say that the front decals should fit any caliper, but the rears may vary slightly depending on the caliper type.

ya know doubt those calipers look good white but the longevity aspect doesn't look to good. Those decals are sweet but i don't wanna pay 20 bucks.

Yeah I know, you don't see V8 guys running around with "LS1" and "LT1" on their calipers.

And why does everyone have to make them in chrome? When I paint mine white, I would like a BLACK decal.

I've seen Firehawk and LS1 decals.. I'd personally rather have something other than the "norm"

I spoke to the supplier and can actually get them in pretty much any color. Black, White, Yellow, Red, Silver... I still have to get a couple of details together, but I'll post info on group purchase or individual orders on a new thread. I'm actually going to start distributing the decals on a site I'm putting together soon, so we won't have to do the GP thing just to get a decent deal.
