I was thinking about getting my SS's chrome plated but my cousin suggested getting them polished instead. has anyone ever did this, can you do it yourself or do you have to get a professional to do it????

If you go to RKSports website, you can get chrome plated shooters for like $600 bucks I think.
The polishing also sounds liuke a decent idea. YUse some paint stripper and strip off all the clearcoat. Then you could use a buffing wheel on a drill and some buff compund and polish em up real nice. You could even clear coat them later.
