How did you wire the LED ring? I was trying to bypass the control board that comes with it but I couldn't get the LED's to light up properly. Did you retain the switch, or bypass it?

I retained the switch, as of now. Its pretty much out of the way, in the ash tray, hidden. As for the fog lamps they are wired into the factory wiring.2001 Sunset Orange Firebird<br />V6? Im going to have to confess something. Ive noticed that they vibrate a little to much for my taste. I am goint to have to strenghting the mounting point. I want to use the stock metal bracket.
The points on the bracket that the stock light fits on are two narrow for the replacements. So I am goint to modify it to fit.

I suppose it would be possible to replace the driving lamps with those as well...?
I already have white bulbs instead of the orange driving lamps... but it would look TONS better if it they all looked like your fog lamps. I am sure they're sealed better too and I won't blow a bulb everytime it rains. :(

If the bracket that came with your fogs is similar to the ones that came with mine, then you will not be able to use any of the stock holes in the plate. You will need to drill the plate so that you can use two small bolts to attach the new bracket to the plate.
You'll probably have to cut off the ends of the bracket where the holes to mount the fogs are so that you can push the light far enough back, so it will fit in the bumper.
Ross, you may be able to use smaller diamter lights for the driving lights, the only tricky part is finding a way to mount them securly.

The easiest way would be to replace the DRL with a lamp that can accept another dual filament bulb. If you cannot get a dual filament bulb in the new light, then we have to have some fun with relays. Fortunately the logic would be pretty simple, and I could make up a wiring diagram fairly quickly for you. But of course with a single filament bulb, you will only have one brightness level. Here is some info that I learned from working on my foglight project (and from Haynes) about the turn signals on the 98+ models.
Each DRL has three wires running into it. Light or dark blue (depending on if you are looking at the right or left DRL), brown, and a ground. Brown is hot when you flip on the parking lights or headlights. It controls everything that lights up (or dims) when you turn on the lights. Blue wires are the turn signal wires, the shade denoting the side. For the purpose of our discussion, we'll only worry about the wires that originate from the DRL control module ("Lights" indicate either headlights or parking lights)
