• well since no one had the balls.... niteshadez...

Ok so after looking for hours on end for a pic of a firebird with the niteshades on its tailights (to NO AVAIL) i finally decided that i would have to be the guinea pig... so i did it. looks like crap, gona sand it all off tonight, but just though i'd let everyone know, its very flat looking and im afraid that any kind of sand paper will just wear off the very thin coat of paint thats already on there, i cleared it and even used 3m rubbing compound to shine it up but still looks like crap. ill post a pic later before i take it off (only did one tailight) and then you all can see for yourselves.... took an entire can at 12 bucks to paint one tailight and you can still sometimes see through the paint... too expensive just buy the lenses... but i dont even like those very much anymore, anyone interested in buing mine?

use a little clearcoat gloss, and it should work.

yup. when the light hits it right, you can see red coming through my tails in some spots. only way to get rid of that would be to make them opaque but that wouldn't be too safe.

so your saying it looked dull even after you sprayed clearcoat on it? what sort of rubbing compound are you using? what sort of clearcoat are you using?
