List of appearance mods I plan on doing on my black firebird which I don't own yet :D
1. Blue Cold Cathodes under dash
2. Blue Fog lights
3. Blue LED scoop lights
4. Blue tinted side mirrors (Either from a 98 trans am, or possibly a custom job if it's possible to get them tinted like that
5. Blue calipers
6. Blue PONTIAC Inlays in rear
7. Possible those bright blue bright headlights
8. Blue guage lights and possible black guages (won't be doing this one for a long time if I do)
Alright, firstly, I'm very concerned about this stuff matching... Just wondering if you have any tips or something... I'm just concerned that it will look horrible and I'd have wasted my money if my Cold cathodes are dark blue, then my LEDs are light blue, then my mirrors are lighter blue, and my inlays are dark dark navy, while my calipers are a different color or something.
Questions:
1) I don't want a car that is one big "clash" of blue! Anyway, I don't know what you might be able to say, but any ideas on how to make sure it'll match alright?
2) I heard that LEDs are better for hood scoop internal lighting... but what about cold cathodes? If I could get the same CCs for the interior dash and exterior that'd be great. Could CCs hold up under the high wind?
3) Will I get pulled over for blue scoop lighting? I've heard having neon ground effects (mostly red and blue since that's illegal ) is a police magnet. I don't want to break the law, but seriously... is putting a blue light deep into my scoop considered breaking the law? I don't think so since there is pretty much no way that can be mistaken for an "emergency vehicle" but just wondering.
Thanks all... I think most of these mods will require more elbow grease than cash (wich I LIIIIKE $_$ ) since many of these items will require costs of less than 10 or 15 dollars.
