hey guys i was just curious. sometime last month i blew out a tire. so i went to through on the spare from the back, but when i went to through it on it wouldnt fit over the brake. now i bought the car used. is there anyway that the guy changed the brakes/rotors to make them bigger? or has this happened to anyone one else with the stock brakes/rotors?

I had five blown tires in the past three years lol talk about bad luck, but anyways the spare tires fits perfectly, so I think that either the guy changed the brakes or the spare, if you have the owners manual you can check what kind of spare tire the car comes with.

Check to see if you car came factory equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes. Look for a sticker on the side of the drivers door with a bunch of 3-digit codes and look for J65 (4-wheel disc option.) or Y87, (I think that package includes 4-wheel disc.)

Maybe the previous owner of the car for some reason lost the original spare tire and just tossed in any spare they could find before they got rid of the car.

          you have a 98?

ITs possible he did something and only put back in a pre 98 spare tire. I am 85% sure that 93-97 spares do not clear the rotors.
