• I got the BLACK paint blues....

Hey all...my black 01 bird is starting to annoy me with her lust for dust... it seems that she is quite literaly a dust-magnet as if i wash/dry my car, within 5 minutes of driving the dust build up is so bad that i have to wipe it down with the duster like 4 times a day....and even then it stays dusty. is there no way to keep the dust from clinging to my baby???? perhaps some kind of wax or somthin it just seems to "Stick" to my car abnormally... any help is much appreciated!

I went and got one of those California Car Dusters. It helps out a lot. Especially in pollen season here in pine tree country. If my car sits for a little while, it goes from black to yellow in nothing flat.

The only time they don't get the dust off good is after the stuff is rained on. And the duster works better the more you use it.

I found rain-x keeps it knocked down off the windows pretty well.

Polishing seems to help a little. Too bad there isn't something like rain-x for paint. That would be awesome.

you could try the mr clean auto dry car wash thing. My friend uses it on his motorcycle and claims that the dust doest build up. I'm getting ready to try it because keeping a white car clean is hard too. Instead of light colored dust on dark paint, I get dark colored dust on white paint.
