I was wondering if there was any way I can change my rear side brake lights and my front side parking lights to black. My whole car is black and gold. I have blackouts on already, so my tail lights are fine, and I'm getting rid of that third brake light on the spoiler. So all that's left is those 4 lights. Would love to change them to black (and non-operational). If anyone has seen this or has done this, could you please tell me how or where to get them? Thanks.98goldbird

Those lights arnt on there for the fun of it.. You can get some black outs for them but I dunno where. I think rksport has the ones for the back but I dunno about the front..the front ones are ur turn signals, so it wouldnt be smart to make them not work because that could cause a wreck..

      blackouts i guess.

On my TA i put a piece of cut smoked plexi between the bumper, and the lense, for the blacked out look. (looks clenaer)

use "VHT nightshades" black transluscent paint, & paint those marker lights. i did my two rears & third brake light. it's an aerosol can, and i clearcoated them afterwards with "krylon clear coat." turned out really well, shiny, and have had no probs.

The 3rd brake light is part of a mandatory vehicle equipment law. You will most likely not be bothered for it, but it is a reason officers have to pull you over if they want.

Also..Why would you get rid of that brake light? I think it would look a lot worse with a big empty hole in the middle of your spoiler. You should black it out instead of getting rid of it.

here are some pics...note the brake lights aren't on in the one pic, it's the reflection from the flash i think:

they look the same as my tailligh blackouts when you activate the brakes...like they have the same light intensity.

btw, i think GTS makes blackouts for the front corners, that are velcro'd in place.

Why WOULDNT you want a 3rd brake light?

It's brighter then the other two and it may save your *** from getting rear ended.

If it isnt working your "Brake" light comes on on your dash.

And besides, you cant see it when your driving/ walking around your car

Buy one of those cover things for it, I've seen "Z28", maybe you can get a "3800" or "camaro"
