how to keep interior paint from fading

i ahve my interior painted and one part of it keeps fading the rest is fine but this one part jst keeps rubbing off kinda (i have a firebird) i wish i had a camera so i cold post pics of waht im talking about. but the arm bar on the door is what keeps fading off. its like the it all comes up primer and all does anyone have any i deas on waht the problem might be

did you do a couple coats of clear coat? since it's your arm rest thats fading it is because you are constantly rubbing your arm on it and stuff...therefore its going to rub off with time...only advice i can give though is to clearcoat the hell out of it.

its wierd though on ly the passnger side is doing it if it were both i woudl agree with your comment

Sounds like a defect. My armbars are in very good condition with no signs of fading. Go to ebay and see if you can find one to match your interior.

do they sel those seperate i thougth you ahd to get the whole door panel for that
