I finally talked my parents into letting me get underbody neons for my car, but I can't decide if I should get the actual neons or if I should get LEDs. I'm worried about the glass tubes breaking, like I've heard happens to them sometimes, and I've heard that getting LED lights would eliminate that problem. Do you guys have any suggestions for me?

Yes, don't do it. Just my opinion though... Take that neon money and get an exhaust system installed, a nice set of wheels, or even bump your stereo up, but please no more neon kits!
Like I said though, just my opinion ;)

i got the 4 peice under body blue LED kit. And at night it looks awesome!
I have my choice of 9 diffrent modes. My favorite is where the LED's chase around the car. Or the one where the LEDs go with the bass.
Its awesome man if you want to know where to get them let me know. I got my kit at a great price.

I love my neon underbody! But what I think for you is get neon, the LED kits may be able to change colors and all that but they arnt as bright and they only glow in one direction.. www.oznium.com has some great kits and Phil is great to work with!
But don't let people talk you out of it and say stuff like "leave it to the imports" because they looks really good and you get noticed!Derek
2002 Metallic Silver Camaro
35th Anniversary

Anyone else have an opinion on which I should get? I know some of you don't agree with getting them, but I've made up my mind, and I'm definitely going to do it, so please only right back if you're going to give me an opinion on which to get...
So far:
2 for neons
1 for LEDs98 Cayenne Red Camaro 3.8 M5
http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/camarolover98

get the actual neon tubes, not the LED kit. My friend has a LED one, and when I parked next to him, the difference was very noticable.
And everyone else, stop trying bashing neons every chance you get. If someone makes a post asking for opinions on a set of wheels, actual opinions are given, not just needless comments like "your car already has a set of wheels."
Everyone has their own personal taste, and I'm sure he's not going to change his plans because some guy on the Internet doesn't like them.\'93 Camaro, 3.4, A4
Yeah, it\'s slow. Whatchu got to say now?

i hear a lot of people have trouble with neons. The transformer is always going out etc... and plus theres a lot of splicing and stuff to do when installing them.
I like my LED underbody kit. The cable that is used is CAT5 cable so its all pluged in to what looks like a hub. You just wire a pos cable and ground and your ready to go.
Plus did i mention i get 9 modes? Scaning, strobing, pulsating, and when i have the car off i have it so it goes with the music. Its sweet and its very diffrent that just the traditional neon kit.
As far as brightness i would say its as bright as any other neon kit.
I will try to get some pictures of my car at night showing off some of the modes.

Not to be mean or anything but you can notice the difference between LED kits and neon kits! On the neon kits you really wont have a dead spot under the car as u will have with the LED kits because they can only face one way. The LED kit may have the "9 modes" but do you drive with those modes in use? I doubt it because you will get pulled over right away.. So theres what I think...Derek
2002 Metallic Silver Camaro
35th Anniversary
