HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS...I was following behind a buddy of mine in his lifted chevy silverado with FATTY mud tires on it....we got to a stopsign out in the boonies and he decides to take a little shortcut through some gravel/mud.... right as I pull up behind him, he goes right and into this nasty muddy rocky mixture and gets stuck. for a second he sits there and then in panic, FLOORS IT.............................


truck + mud terrains + gravel/mud pudding + firebird = one million chips and scratches embedded into hood...

thats right he floored it and rocks and @#$% flew FU#%ing everywhere, my whole hood is speckled with white chip marks (my car is black by the way) mud and rocks were PILED up on my SPOILER!!! he must have been peeling out in the mud for at least 15 seconds...my license plate was covered in 2 inches of mud caked on htere...mud was inside my engine bay and all over my air filter...the whole car was a mess and i didnt know how bad it actually was until i got home and washed it off to seee the damage.... he says he didnt know i was that close and so i cant really make him pay for it cuz hes my friend too but i also dont have any money to fix my hood....should i just wait and save up for a new hood (ram air or something) and get that painted or should i repaint the stocker...i plan on getting a new hood anyway... what should i do? and if i get a new hood which one?? lol

anything thats nicked through the paint needs to be repainted, theres no other way to fix it right.

well thats the thing, he says that he didnt know i was behind him, (i was a ways back and floored it to catch up) i guess i was in the wrong place at the wrong time. also i was planning ona new hood and since im a tightwad this will just force me to get one [img]smile.gif[/img] he now owes me money (once again for being an idiot) he made me a 15 dollar bet that a chip would give him an extra 150 horses LMFAO lolololol but anyway ill get a little money out of him. thanks anyway. i found out that the marks are amplified from wax cuz it gets in there and dries making the chips more noticable. i used some of that meguires scratch **** and it works ok...its not to bad..i think when he first floored it, the mud got on there and protected it a little from the rocks that were to come...lol ok im done, time to decide on a new hood!!!! ws6 or H.O.?

You could turn him into the cops if he doesn't pay up because that is considered wreckless driving and I'm sure there would be enough evidence to convict. Who cares if he didn't know you were behind him or not....thats never acceptable behavior on the public roads.

If your car is black why not get some touch up paint? You can probably get that done A LOT cheaper than a new hood or whole new paint job just for little chip marks...

lol i never went offroad, it was a streeted stopsign surrounded by mud and stuff, i was on the street but he turned off the street to go in the mud...get what im saying?
