  • tips to remove pinstripes???

    help.. i am currently using Tar and Adhesive remover but it's still being a pain in the butt when it comes to removing the pin stripes

    any help??

    Use a blow dryer or a heat gun. Just be careful with the paint. I've also used wd40 in the past. Just don't let it sit on the paint, wash the car afterwards. They also make a decal remover, but I never used it. Just be patient, and scrape away with your fingernail. Good luck.

      do just what Camaro 22 said. When I took my stripe kit off I used a hairdryer and I also had to use a little 3m Adhesive remover that comes in a small spray can. There was still some residue left on the car. It's safe for clear coat and contains natural orange stuff [img]smile.gif[/img] . If you dont want to use that you could also try Mequires Body Scrub which is also safe for clearcoats.

        Mine just peeled right off. It took me a while because it kept breaking but after taking them off and washing/waxing, you couln't tell that they were ever there.
