  • Tint.

I am going to put tint on my windows soon and I am undecided on what percent to put on. I don't know the legal limit for North Carolina. If anyone knows, please help me out and tell me.

I have looked at alot of cars and the limo tint looks the best. I know it is illegal, but I like the sleekness of it. I'm thinking at least limo on the sides. Whoever the owner was before me did a self tint job and it isn't that good so I am going to get it redone. Help me out.

Not having tinted my windows, yet, I can't say I know for sure what to tell you.
    Except this...

I've seen limo tint on some cars before, mainly only on Ricers or Honda's, but it's really really dark.

I can't imagine what cop in his right mind would hesitate to pull you over, especially in a Firebird, because...god knows Firebird's are 10x the car a Honda is (no offense to honda owners)

Yea dont go with the 5% limo tint because you wont be a friend of the cops. ;) I think 20% would be pretty good, thats what Im getting!

i've got 20, nice, but not dark enough, i wold like to get 15.

but cops don't harrass you much in florida as it is needed here due to the sun/heat.

plus the windows are down, when the t-tops are off.

I'm curious as to why some of you just make up a percentage for your tint? 5% is the darkest that is made. Doubling it over, some would say it's 2.5% I guess. Where exactly did you buy this '1%' tint from?

i have 35% on my car and it looks great. i dont think it is too hard too see out of, but it is dark enough too make a difference.

btw, they sell 2.5% here in mass. i think gila makes it.
                            boost, you got it???

Thanks 97rs and DaRock for helping me out with the law situation. And thanks FireFighter for the pics of your car. I think that I have decided to go with 20%. It looks the best.

                              Thanks all.
