I plan on getting another loan to fix my car up. I love my car black, and thought about painting it black again, but I'm also thinking a bright yellow with metallic. What do you guys think?

I also want to get a Suncoast Ramair hood, wings west spoiler, side skirts, and rear valance, along with a custom front bumper... and an rksport solar wing. Would this be a little ricey with the yellow? Or should I go black with metallic and pearl?

I dunno about yellow man yes it a beautiful color, for example corvette yellow, but black is pontiac. I like yellow but not as much as black. Metallic black with pearl really sounds kick ***. How about black metallic flakes? It's really your choice, just mho:wave:

Yeah, but there aren't many yellow birds on the road. Honestly I like it, but deep inside I think it'd look ricey.

Black I really like. The hardest part is I have to do it all at once, because I don't want to have to paint each part as I put it on, so, I need a loan... :(

It's gonna be a PITA trying to paint the inner doorjambs, engine bay bodyparts and such. I'd stay with your original color, or close to it so the price doesn't start to skyrocket.

Here's another silly question but bear with me: Is it possible to do THIS to a Firebird? Has anyone tried it? Or, would it take too much custom fabrication not worth the money?

it would not be too hard to do, if you can modify the bumper, personally i would get a ta bumper, if you want cool exhaust ;)

for the color, yellow birds are sweet. you will ALWAYS get attention in a yellow bird. I was sitting in a friends Aztek yellow 98 TA one day, and had somebody come ask "dude, where did you get this painted" and "sweet car man" ... i was like "owner is in the passenger seat ask him ;) )

Ryan. <-- would love to have a milenium yellow paint on my ws6.

hey man check out my site, i know its a camaro but still,

also i dont have any of the door jams painted or any thing cuase IMO the yellow under the would show WAY TO MUCH dirt and things, BTW the stripes on my car are the factory black paint

and the doors jams don't bother me at all, an not one person has asked me why i didn't pain them,

but if you car is red or blue i would at least paint the doors jams, but leav under the hood and hacth alone.

BTW go to a dealer and look in there paint books, thee 1999 dodge book has "Viper Yellow"

I got it for $300 a gallon, but that was at 25% over cost. i asked how much it was normally and the guy said i didn't want to know

hope this helps

the ce yellow is pale and nasty imho.

you want a real yellow, milenium, aztek, chrome, viper ect. not a pale canary or tiburon yellow.

i woudl not paint the under the hood on a black/yellow conversion, my friends wasa black to yellow conversion, and the black under the hood gives it the old muscle car look.

door jambs are optional, but i think i would do those, as i would paint the areas covered by t-tops as well, so the door jambs would not be too muhc wore work to do.

go with race yellow or viper yellow, best and most "pure" yellow IMO, and brightest too

just an idea, why don't you try to photoshop you car? Will sort of help out in the decision making black or yellow. ;)

yellow was once a color on the 93-97 style birds. it was just fairly rare. it would look pretty good. i personally like black much more though. you should go for the all blacked out look in my opinion. and then top it off with some nice chrome wheels

i think the yellow was a 93-95 color only, a friend has a 94/95 TA in yellow, but it too is a pale yellow, not a bright yellow.

the viper yellow is nice, but a little too bright for my tastes.

Yellow is OK.

When I first met my wife, I was driving my yellow Mustang:

http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/gl...8/Mustang.html

- and she married me anyway (although not until I got my Metallic Blue Firebird):

http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/gladesw68/87Bird.html

Last month, a local dealer called me up, offering to sell me the last new TA he had - a yellow 35th anniversary edition.

My wife said she might consider it except for the fact that she refuses to be seen driving around town in a yellow Trans Am!

Personally, I'm partial to black and gold Firebirds.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

you say you want some custom stuff for the car, why not go with a custom color? black is nice but like somebody said there's not too many yellow ones out there...
