me and a friend of mine (*K*night Rider) are thinking of starting a little business making a custom two seater panel for firebirds and camaros. the ones we are thinking about making will consist of the cover with whatever color carpet you might choose (as long as we can get a hold of it) and with gauging interest we may buy exact matching carpets directly from gm (will have to find out more information about that one).
this cover we are making is a good hiding place for nitrous bottles (james), subs (rev), kilos (ross), or intercoolers (tiago) we will be making these probably out of particle board or something similar. mine is made out of 3 sheets of industrial cardboard and is quite sturdy and very light. the one we will be making will not consist of the light, or the sign you may find on mine--all the extra stuff you may wish to do with yours you can request (we may do it) or you can do it yourself. we are also thinking about making some of these where you can leave your back seats in at all time (folded down) and the cover can be taken out at your convinience.

the price is hard to guesstimate right now because we do not know how much particle board or gm carpet will cost us--in bulks would probably be best as well; so, a cheaper price for the more people who will want one. but i would guess these will run around $75--may be higher, may be lower. anyway, the purpose of this post is to see exactly how many of you guys would be interested in buying one of these, so i can see if adam and i should start to consider making these. please reply if you are interested, or if you think anyone might be interested. thank you.

more pics are in my sig, but sometimes angelfire will overload on bandwidth and you can't see them.

ok awesome. if you are interested in these enough to buy one, shoot me an email and in about a week (if i get at least 10 people) i will start making them. tell me what you would like on yours and how big and also what color for carpet. for simplistics sake and since not enough people are interested in these, we are just going to make some that require the back seats to come completely out and this will slide in it's place. if enough people would like us to make some where you can keep the backseat, adam and i will engineer something up and figure that out. until now, email me at tuffluck@mail.utexas.edu and give me the information i need on how to make these--when i call around either sometime this week or next i will email you back with a price on how much these will cost you. please only email me if you are interested for sure! thanks!
