One of my tail lights is noticably darker than the other. when I took it off to look at it i discovered it had leaked pretty bad and that the silver coating was turning black. is there a solution to this? or is it a replace the tail light assembly type fix?

My suggestion would be to try and rip the light apart to get to the silver stuff. Then prep and paint it with some "chrome" spraypaint. If it can't be prepped properly, make something similar and paint it. Then glue your light back together, making sure it won't leak again.

You have to get a hot gun to get that plastic off so you can get inside and there is a chance of it breaking when you try to take it off......1999 Firebird Black
A4 3.08 gears
Mods: Carbon Fiber Whisper Lid, Raised Air Box, K&N Air Filter, Direct Hits Ignition, Flowmaster American Thunder 3\", 160 Degree Hypertech Thermostat, SLP Fan Switch, 3\" High Flow Cat
My car on Cardomain

Bring it to the dealer if you're still under warranty...They should have to replace it if it leaked.Justin
2000 Black Firebird A4 Y87
170.2rwhp/203rwtq (SAE Corrected)
