  • Really like these stripes... think its too *loud*?

    http://www.3rdgendecals.com/CustomerPages/MarkK.htm

I really like these stripes... I like the checkered look even tho some of it looks like its all over the place (instead of being a checkered pattern). I would love to get a ram air hood but I dont want to spend so much money on it *hehe*.

Need help with color!!! Currently I have rear inserts and side emblems in black (reflective). I need help choosing which color out of these 4-- black, charcoal, dark charcoal, electric blue. I originally wanted something noticable but not too loud... what about silver on a silver car? I think i saw a pic but it coulda been another color. Black/silver would be great, and it would stick to the theme I already have going on (its a common color scheme) but maybe a dark charcoal would be better?

I have a friend that is looking into these stripes as well. They are similiar to mine, but more curved around.

Dude, I cant help it. This is a big step for me and I am trying to find something that is really cool looking as well as unique. Not many birds around here anyways so I guess anything I pick will be a head turner.

I think those stripes take away from the natural lines of the car. If I were you and had a 98+ bird I would just save up for a while and go for the firehawk hood.

I know you are looking for stripes, but i think its common knowledge that if you look up WS9 in the dictionary it says sexy underneath. Just my opinion though.

I think I'd keep saving for a hood too. Im not real fond of those stripes. I dont really care for how the bird sits on the nose and the stripes come back from there. thats $150 alone that you could put toward the hood. If you had a pre-98 then I would say stripe it. 98 and up really need the hood to snazy them up.

Though I don't truly care for stripes on any car, I think, for your car, that would look very nice.

Generally, I hate stripes because on birds without Ram Air hoods, there is nowhere to put the "firebird" bird logo without making it look awkward.

I do, however, think the placement looks decent on this set. Im not crazy about the checkers, but to each his own.

Might order this today... in charcoal which is only a little darker than the silver on my car. I want to change the look of my car but I dont want it to be too much (as if i got black).

Not to sound like a pain in the butt, but *a lot* of people have a ram air hood (which i really like too) but this is something just different from all that. If you know me, you know I always hate to have something that looks to normal or similar to everyone elses. lol

Thanks for the comments. I will keep ya posted.
