Best thing I can tell you to do is get some engine degreaser and then find some CD-2 Engine detailer. That stuff works great!

well first of all...a nice steam cleaning or pressure wash wouldnt hurt...and one thing that i do that makes it look a little nicer in there is wipe off the entire airbox and spray tire wet on it...it actually makes it look pretty decent...and i spray it on the wheel wells and stuff too...cleans things up and makes it look alot nicer.

dont cover it, show it off. just get some degreaser and put a little effort into cleaning it up.

i would say get a carbon fiber lid, white wire loom, a battery cover, and degrease that engine and i bet it would look sweet

How much did that lid and the battery cover cost you?

battery cover was $50 and it is also carbon fiber, but you could get a plastic piece fitted, cut the painted for probally half that, lid was $180 bucks, but i know for a fact that you can buy a used one pretty cheap, i bought mine before i started using these f-body forums.

what about red? red usually looks good with green cars.

                              Here is what I did...
                              Picture One.
                              Picture Two.
                              Picture Three.

Sorry about the quality, I could use a better digital camera.

I painted the valve covers and the intake plenum, and then used a grinder disk (actually it was a pad like a really hard sponge) to buff the paint off to make the stripes and letter appear polished.
