Ive been trying to get a strait answer about these hoods but i have found nothing. I want to know the quality of these hoods. If these hoods are not well made please tell me the down side of getting one of these besides the price.

They're basically a piece of crap... look nice, but they fit improperly and aren't contructed nicely.

heres a few quotes

Fitment was crap on the hood I bought from Mecham. Cost a lot to get it finished to look halfway decent. They have apparently come out with a newer design that is similar, but it seems (from the one guy posting his install story) like they still have quality issues.
The hood got lots of attention, but really was more race-quality rather than show-quality - especially once you looked up close.
I have some pics in sig...
good luck,
Shane
Fit like crap when I first got it, Cracked/wavy. Box was undamaged so crack was from factory. Wanted to return it but would have to pay shipping and restocking fee. Had my body shop friend just do his best with it. 20hrs labor BEFORE paint
not the firebird hood, but still poor quality by mecham
Oh God Almighty, stay clear of Mecham Performance!!! I bought their C5R hood for my C5 and it was/is the biggest POS I have ever seen and/or bought. The d@mn thing is some type plastic and not even fliberglass. Ever worse, Dennis has horrible customer service. The hood started to bubble in spots and when I told him about it, he basically said that it is my problem and deal with it myself. Plus the thing was not even molded correctly and would not fit right. After about $3000 into the thing, I am going to end up have a nice $3000 coffee table
dont buy a mecham hood. youll just end up putting more money into it than it is actually worth
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4
