Help Please

Hello I just got my 1996 Firebird Console in today and began the swap into my 1987 Bird and the probloms started right away, so anyone who has done this swap, please help me.

I did search but only found swaps for 4th gen consoles going into 4th gen cars.

Have you tried thridgen.org....they got massive 3rd gen info.

Yes and I noticed alot did the later 4th gen console swap, I think 98 and up console, mine is a 96 console

He is right though. If the only swap how-to you saw was for a 97+ why did you get the '96? Those two are very different. If you just wanted to do a quick swap following the directions, you should have followed them.

I think your best bet would be to ask over on thirdgen.org, they have much more knowledge of those cars than we really do here. Most of us are 4th gen owners here.
