****This is not your opinion on Black vs. Crome rims.... this is about WHICH black to get****

...paint my current stock rims black? I was thinking if I take them off and paint them black and then paint some clearcoat on them it could look good... but what do you think?...

I don't want a ghetto-looking setup... but seriously folks.... 400-600 bucks for black rims when I can paint them myself seems like a lot of money to blow.

it would look kind of ok if you powder coated them and not painted. But then again I'v never been a big fan of painted rims of any kind so do what ever you want its your car, your life, and your money do what you want.

i saw go get them painted at macco, i know what ur think yeah right, my friend did this and the came out real good, just kinda do some prep work on them before u take it there, and have them paint them black, leave the lip around them silver that would look good

powder coating is different, painting it would not look good in my opinion. but powder coating them would probably look nice especially since it would have to be done by a professional

If you cannot do it right, do not do it at all.

My response to "What people will do to save a dollar." is "How wasteful some people with their money... exploring the options first can save hundreds."

...and "right" is a matter of opinion when there are numerous viable options.
