i know itas been asked but i didnt get the info i needed
If I remember right, it was cut the letters out, mount a neon behind it, and a special type of plexiglass was used that you could bend was clued on the inside. I think it was something like that.

on the spot,to bend the plexi you just gotta heat it up, not to hot or else it bubbles then conform it to the rear of the car ;)
