• Side Firebird Decal Position

I have been wondering about this since the day I got my car. In the picture that I have in the link, look at the side where the firebird decal is. Its not in the normal spot that it usually is. I have only seen one other firebird with decals in that position, it was some kinda of GMPP firebird GT thing. I have got some history on this car, it has never been repainted the only accident it was in was to the driver's side rear 1/4 panel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Not too sure I know one part of the pkg was some type of suspension upgrade? Or maybe it did have those decals and the owner took them off? I'm just not sure at all.

hmmm... i've never seen the firebird badge there... i've never seen a picture of the gt ornamentation package either... if you look at the pic in the gmpp catalog you'll see that it says FirebirdGT on it... yours doesn't say that, so i'm assuming that whoever had it before you either moved the badge there because they didnt like where it was or you had the gt badges on there and those were taken off... who knows... btw car looks good

I dont know why the door badge is there..never saw that before> I think someone may have just moved it. I found out the the GMPP package was on 98 birds....like yours and included for this year were the Extreme Sport Suspension package, Zexel-Torson LSD, stripe and badging, custom floormats, 17x9 wheels, ground effects, and Hurst shifter Here's a pic of a SLP GT. I havent been able to find a pic of a GMPP GT :(

The factory emblem was moved - easy to do.

The GMPP "Firebird GT" is a decal - I know I have them. The instructions tell you to remove the factory emblem and place it in the same spot, but you could put them anywhere. One for each door, rear, and headlight cover.

Below is a picture of a 98 with the GMPP Firebird GT appearance package.

The SLP Firebird GT has different stripes and badging.

Also see the Tech Database for details of the GMPP and SLP Firebird GT's.
