ok first they are easy to install.. well the drivers side. i put red on in on both side so i know a thing or two on my car plus i did them on 4 friends cars so far. on the left side since it can't be seen i used the zip ties to secure it to the plastic since the screw holes don't touch plastic above it. it is out of sight unoticable and if u do see it looks clean i bought the lights at walmart for 10 each which is good compared to the smaller 20 at pep boys or autozone. if you need more info on help or wiring which i had some problems with at first post up or email for a wuicker responce. question do u plan to wire it to the battery for a cleaner look or jsut plug it in?

The ones from Wal-Mart are cheaper, but they break a lot faster. I bought a CD player ring there, and it stopped working within three weeks.

teh wire would work and the ashtray is def popular. i put mine under my steering hweels to the right on that fiberglass panel that comes out iwht the truck cover release button. and in concern with the walmart ones i have had my lights for 5 months where they getkicked a good amount of the time and have had no problems with them maybe it was bad luck or soemthing for you gl

Personally I like having them under the seats. Thats were mine are. That way you dont see the lights during the day which I find tacky looking during the day, while you get just as much glow as under the seats ;)
