Fine for blue or red underbody lights??

Im wanting to put one neon under my car in the front just for the heck of it. I really want blue though. I know there supposed to be illegal. Does anyone know what the possible fine is if I get pulled over?? If its high I might have to settle for green or white. Thanks.

You might want to check your state laws because in CA, only red is illegal. Blue is perfectly legal over here. Perhaps Georgia is the same way? You should check it out.

yep red illegal in texas also, even tho stupid poliece still pull you over for driving with them on, and if you cant drive with them pple still use red any way, its "a distraction" is why they can pull you over for driving with them, i see it as pple that like to stare shouldnt drive!!

yeah undercar neon is supposed to be illegal if you are driving in louisiana.. not always enforced.. but sometimes it is

I think that generally it's only illegal if you can see the actual bulb underneath the car. You just have to have that hidden.

well in Florida every color is "legal" if you attend a car show once a month. A friend of mine talked it over with a few officers he knows. Also they will give you hassle over red and blue any other color shouldn't be a problem. Just do it and if you get a fine go to court or something it probably wont be big. The car show thing will probably work.

true dat about florida... but i had a friend get pulled over driving from FL to SC.
he got pulled in GA w/ his red neons on, 170ticket... the officer told him if he lived in GA he would have gotten a "fix it" ticket 1st, then a real ticket (if didn't comply) but since he lives in FL he just gave him a big FAT A$$ ticket.

oh, and if u decide not to go w/ red or blue, give me an e-mail when u decide on a different color because i have no idea what color i am going to put on my car and we both have red cars

No, those colors are reserved for emergency vehicles. Unless you're driving an authorized emergency vehicle, you're $hit outta luck. People tend to associate red & blue with either police, fire, or EMT, not someone trying to 'look cool' in their ride.
