So what if you bought a cluster from the dealership. Would that have 0 miles on it?

I don't know if it was me.

But I do have a new (unused) Dakota Digital tach adapter that I got when I was going to run a v8 gauge cluster in my car. That I should sell since it's just sitting around...

Not true. (I've done the swap)

The feed for the Rev Counter is different on V6's and V8's.

I say this, because the Y87 package had no speed limiter, necessetating the need for the 155mph cluster. Makes more sense to modify the signal to the guage than to make seperate units for V6 & V8 models.

My '98 y87 didn't have a 155 cluster, it was a different unit than the v8. (and it did have a speed limiter - 118mph)

I do still have the tach adapter in my possesion, but someone local is getting it... Sorry about that.
