Just an Idea, but to add more structure to the alluminum, you should sandwich against a thin peice of mdf board. That way it is less likley to dent.
Personally I like the brushed allumimun idea, I just think the whole door is too much for me. Have you thought about maybe just doing a 2in wide trin around the panel, maybe with a suede insert.

The inside looks pretty cool, but the alum. control knobs on alum. overlays is a bit much. I think they look good on black and bad on all other colors.
They'd look better if they were smoked.Comment

well i said Especially black cars, but i have seen some pictures of a white car and a pewter car with em and they didnt look that noticable so i didnt think it was that bad, but i guess anything that is of darker color looks bad to me, like black blue green and red... the white one didnt look as bad for some reason, but i still dont like em it looks weak to me....

How did you reconnect the door trim after u put the aluminum on. If i am correct, you needed to cut the pieces of plastic to take off the door panel with the leather or cloth on it. I have replaced mine and i am trying to figure out the best way to reconnect it to those little tabs that i already cut off.
