Ground FX Questions

I got a hold of some used ground FX its an RK sport kitand its already painted the color of my car.

First i have to take off the old 3M tape which is being a PITA to take off. Any ideas?

Second of all i went to Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Home Depot to find some 3M tape but all they have is the small rolls like less than 6 feet and its only like 1/2'' wide. Can i use some 2 part epoxy instead of the tape?

Third i did manage to get the front peice on last nite and as i was driving home today the car over heated, someone told me because i need a bigger air deflecor, how true is this and if so where can i get one?

the half inch wide heavy duty 3m tape (the stuff with the red paper that peels off as you put it on) works wonderfully. check a shop that specializes in body work. they will have a 20 foot roll or something like that. its not cheap, but its worth it. i wouldnt go with epoxy, the 3m will definitely hold... assuming youre buying the right kind (the stuff for gfx and trim pieces and such). i forget the exact name on the package.

to get the old tape off use a razorblade and just kinda saw at it. watch your fingers or youll get yourself bad. it took me about a half hour to get it all off of just one side skirt.

hmm, your cars overheating now???...strage, I dont remember what the rk gfx looks like but it may be a possibility look into the super sucker ram-air thing, might be something uselful??

I know the wing west goes along the front just like the rk sport and u have to get a diff black piece under the car other wise it over heats.

My fan motor fked up on me thats why it oveor heated (to the re line)

But i notice it still heats up more quickly than it used to.

Where can i get this extended blak peice?

new way autosprots would have them but i cant seem to remember their website. maybe its gone. i guess you could get it straight from wings west.

there's a product out called an Eraser, it's a rubber wheel u put on a drill and it basically erases away tape and pinstriping without harming the paint or body panel. Alot easier than doin it by hand. it's like 13 dollars or so for it. and i know it works
