• Car back from Paint, SS clone

Finally got my car back today, total bill was $2968 for paint, fiberglassing, and pulling the frame/radiator back. Overall I'm not exstatic but its workable, the color is a little lighter then I would have liked its actually a shade or two lighter then it appears in the picture, nearly white in direct sunlight. The inside of the doors were not painted either which I thought I asked about and he said yes he would. He painted like an inch in, must have been some sort of miscommunication, not to big of a deal the real dark green almost looks black which goes well with my silver/black combo.

List of things I want to do to the car now in order of happening first:

Tint (5% in the back, darkest legal on side windows)

Carbon fibre front emblem and rear camaro insert in CF, looks sweet on a silver camaro. (http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0402phr_dress/)

    Billet grille insert

    Rear Blackouts

Clear corners and rear light thing thats on the side.

18" rims, chrome, probably gonna be Z06 knockoffs chrome.

Then perhaps some sort of black racing stripe combo, I was waiting on this to see the paint but it still looks somewhat ordinary the color I was thinking of would require candy paint and thats to much money so onto that.

    --------------------------------

A few quick pictures, I almost walked home from this shoot. As soon as I pulled the car into place I switched lenses on the camera in the car and got out forgot I had my keys sitting on my lap and dropped them into a storm drain. I mean come on, what are the chances I would pull the car so that the drain was right under the drivers door. I found 2 spanish guys that spoke no english working on trimming trees and with hand gestures and flashing a $20 bill got one to come over and go into the drain and pull my keys out. Amen for the power of a dollar bill, trying to get anyone else to do that for $20 would be impossible but this guy would have killed a man for that $20 had I asked him. Not great pictures but dropping my keys spoiled the mood and the cars still kind of dirty and plain anyway. Watch out for the pics to come with my new camera and once the car is cleaned up they're going to make you druel.

On that note I hope my car isn't damaged by Jeanne, curse these Hurricanes.

Before anyone points out yes I do have SS badges on the front fenders, they came with them when I bought the parts. I planned on taking them off but the black emblem on silver really sets it off, looks sexy as hell.

looks nice. why didnt you have your door handles painted? the hood doesnt line up as much as i would ask for. throw on a SS badge on the back to finsih it off your passanger headlight is lower on the right side than it should be.

Like I said not comparable to a new SS or anything but I spent $900 on parts for the entire front end, hood, fenders, nose, brackets, screws and an SS spoiler. The hood, nose and spoiler are all damage repairs/recoverys. I may tweak the lights a pinch more depending on if they can be moved much more. I actually like the look of the black handles, unique.

a v6, my car got in a front end collision figured I might as well do a front end conversion and paint it. I'm getting into photography part time and may request to do some sponsering on this site and sell photography time, shoots, whatever you want to call it along with posters of my car once I set up a real shoot. These were just some snapshots to show what it looks like and also for insurance incase its damaged during this hurricane. I got some crazy plans for shoots when I make it look a little nicer.

Do what you want. If enough people b!tch I'm gonna swap in a 2.2L Ecotec aircooled running through a dirty gym sock and put the car on spinners with a wing on top of the SS wing and go around racing stock civics and loosing. I'll take down the whole F-body reputation muahahah.
