does it really matter? Will you loose any sleep worrying if its a v6 or a v8?

Just to clarify I don't race my car, woulden't if it were an 8 either. So it doesn't matter if I have steriod filled gerbils running my car the speed limit hasn't changed any.

Like I said I plan on selling posters and working on some car photography to pay for engine upgrades. I've been looking into some sort of VNT Twin Turbo setup, dry sump oil system, 3.73's, built tranny, you know 450-500hp nothing to crazy...

Anyone know where custom Carbon fiber decals can be made? I didn't want the SS badges on there but it looks so plain without anything there, thinking maybe a 3.8 decal or something, in raised CF like the front hood and rear camaro insert will be. I know they make Z28 ones.

By the way....no one who knows anything about Camaros will buy a poster of your car thinking its a SS. Unless they decided to give SS's aluminum 5 spokes, which they didn't.

Actually a few of the last built 98 SS's ended up with 5 spokes because Slp ran out of wheels and only had 16' 5 spoke take offs laying around, I think it was like 12 cars and they were like $1100 less. Nice Car though outklast, did a pretty good job switching over that front end. Do what you want with it and dont pay any attention to the people on here

Where did u get the fenders and front bumper and especially the ss hood! I am assuming u got it really cheap

It's really not that hard at all, no custom fabrication what so ever. You pretty much remove all the front end body panels, the front end impact material and bumper support, replace it with the SS or 98+ parts, bolts up. Even the splashguards are reusable. The hood bolted up directly to the previous hinges though I did swap my hood hinges because they were slightly damaged from my accident making it almost impossible to open/close them. I heard something once about drilling for the headlights, not sure what that was about because I never drilled any holes though its possible my lights are only held on by one mount not two, not a big deal IMO they're firm as a rock in there.

I lucked out on parts, originally I was going to do an SS front end and an RS style spoiler that curves over the side but the guy I got the SS parts from had the GM SS spoiler too for cheap so I figured why not. Total all the parts cost me $900 and he put them on for me, though like I said they are damaged parts the nose, hood and spoiler. The nose was pushed down and crushed a little similar to what happened to the nose of my 97, the hood was actually split in 2 pieces around the scoop and cracked off a piece at the bottom. For those with a good eye on detail you can tell the front of my scoop is not right the depths and curves are a little off, but for the price break it'll work. The hood is also still functional (if I figured out how to hook it to my airbox). The spoiler wasn't really damaged much just a theft recovery, someone tried to steal it off an SS car by ripping it off. Tore 2 of the bolts that hold it down on one side off. Fiberglassed them back in and it mounts like normal. All in all I'm happy with it a used SS hood in good condition will run you $1000 on average, $800-900 on ebay + $150-200 freight shipping, $1000-1200 local pickup from a junk yard.

I may still keep my eye out for good deals, occasionally you see an SS hood on a forum go for $700-800.
