Finally got my car back today, total bill was $2968 for paint, fiberglassing, and pulling the frame/radiator back. Overall I'm not exstatic but its workable, the color is a little lighter then I would have liked its actually a shade or two lighter then it appears in the picture, nearly white in direct sunlight. The inside of the doors were not painted either which I thought I asked about and he said yes he would. He painted like an inch in, must have been some sort of miscommunication, not to big of a deal the real dark green almost looks black which goes well with my silver/black combo.
List of things I want to do to the car now in order of happening first:
Tint (5% in the back, darkest legal on side windows)
Carbon fibre front emblem and rear camaro insert in CF, looks sweet on a silver camaro. (http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0402phr_dress/)
Billet grille insert
Rear Blackouts
Clear corners and rear light thing thats on the side.
18" rims, chrome, probably gonna be Z06 knockoffs chrome.
Then perhaps some sort of black racing stripe combo, I was waiting on this to see the paint but it still looks somewhat ordinary the color I was thinking of would require candy paint and thats to much money so onto that.
--------------------------------
A few quick pictures, I almost walked home from this shoot. As soon as I pulled the car into place I switched lenses on the camera in the car and got out forgot I had my keys sitting on my lap and dropped them into a storm drain. I mean come on, what are the chances I would pull the car so that the drain was right under the drivers door. I found 2 spanish guys that spoke no english working on trimming trees and with hand gestures and flashing a $20 bill got one to come over and go into the drain and pull my keys out. Amen for the power of a dollar bill, trying to get anyone else to do that for $20 would be impossible but this guy would have killed a man for that $20 had I asked him. Not great pictures but dropping my keys spoiled the mood and the cars still kind of dirty and plain anyway. Watch out for the pics to come with my new camera and once the car is cleaned up they're going to make you druel.
On that note I hope my car isn't damaged by Jeanne, curse these Hurricanes.
