BTW, make sure you have a nice exhaust in the back to compliment it... maybe the SLP one they made for the SS if you can get one.

^^^ if you're gonna keep it as a clone...get the rear emblem with bow tie, SS rims, SS exhaust (at least the tips), and interior badge with 155mph speedo...hell if it were me i'd even change the vin# letter to the V8 code..thats how the really good guys will tell the difference...other than that..no one would ever know...i just have the exterior styling minus the exhaust and rims which are diffferent...but i sport the 3800 decals

I'll probably end up running open downpipes when I get the turbo setup going. No emissions in FL. :D

You overestimate what I mean by clone, by clone I mean SS hood/spoiler.

PS: dont get me wrong...the car is still sick as hell! ...i think the only think i'd do more to it is exhaust..like Shirl said...it would finish up that back end nicely...you could just get tips due to emissions...and the rear emblem just because you have them on the sides...maybe a set of rims..still looks awesome with just the factory V6s

The difference between your camaro and an SS is not the hood and spoiler, it's the ****ing engine. People with Z06 wheels on their car aren't posers, people with Z06 badges are. The point is, you should be concentrating on getting your new front end to line up correctly, rather then trying to make people think you have a '98+ SS, and not a '93-'97 v6.

yeah...the engine does make it a TRUE clone..the reason i say that too is because i already had the exterior styling...before i supercharged my car..doing the LS1 swap was my other option...since i already had the styling..if i did the swap i was just going to slap the interior and exterior emblems on there...and make a real clone...the engine would've been from a junked car i would've bought.. so i would've had the exhaust and wheels too

The body shop did even though I never wanted them on the car. Now I'm leaving them on just because I know all these people got their panties in a twist about it, at least until I can find some nice 3.8 or 3800 badges.

How exactly did the body shop get the SS emblems??? Did they just have an extra set lying around and throw them on for free....cause that would be the most generous body shop I have ever heard of.

Yea, those emblims are like $25 a piece. Thats pretty generous. Im sure if you looked at the bill, you were charged for them.

go onto ebay, and type in '3800 decals', and buy some of them. THey will be like $10 shipped, great quality, and will make your car much better looking than a V6 with SS badges
