I've been a long-time user of Gold Class and I love the way it makes my car shine. Yesterday I decided to vary it up a little and try Meguiar's new NXT tech wax.
First, using the NXT wax I noticed that it is a lot easier to apply and spread than Gold Class, for some reason the same ammount of wax spreads a lot further without missing spots. It was also very easy to take off, although I did notice it tends to leave a filmy residue that is hard to buff out. Maybe I needed to let it dry longer? I let it dry for about 10 minutes in the sun. (I also apply Gold Class in the sun a lot just because I have nowhere shady to do it.) The NXT didn't seem to give my paint that dark gloss that Gold Class does. One plus is that it doesn't powder up after removal like gold class, leaving a bunch of wax dust on my car to brush off. This benefit is minimized by the fact that I have to buff the crap out of the car to get the film off. Honestly, NXT is alright but I think I'll go back to Gold Class.
