You can click that and see how my NBM Camaro now looks with no side moulding. I tore it off yesterday and it's 10-20x better looking now :D Its so easy to wax now too without that crud getting in my way!

Let me know what you think.

!moulding - 06 is one of the better photos showing how clean it looks now.

Edit: Please don't mind the dust, its pollen season bigtime and I can't keep the pollen off my car :(

I did it while washing the car - turns out the moulding comes off best when wet and soapy. I just peeled it back and pulled easily all along the car and 98% of the glue stuck to the moulding and not my car .

What was left on the car easily came off with the terry cloth wet rag I washed the car with. I didn't have to even alcohol my car.

I used some #7 polishing glaze (meguiars) where it was to help the wax adhere and then waxed the car. It turned out better than I expected!

Awesome, I really am thinkin' about this. The molding on the driverside front fender has been gone since I got the car, and it's starting to aggrivate me a bit. Sure, I photoshopped my pics to have the molding, just so they wouldn't look goofy with only half of it there. lol. Again, I think it looks really good.

My stomach churned before I ripped mine off, hoping it would look good... and I'm extremely glad I did.

I've got some photos of it torn off of a few cars - if you're interested shoot me an IM or email and I'll send em your way. :D

Awesome welcome to the non-molding camaro club!!! I really hate the look of the molding on there. I think our cars look so much cleaner without that crap on there. Everyone should go right now and take theirs off.

I thought the molding was there to prevent dings? I think it looks really good but i'm afraid of my doors getting messed up in parking lots

#1 - I never park next to other cars... I'd walk a mile to keep my car from being dinged, even in the rain (thats what umbrellas are for non?)

#2 - The moulding is in the wrong spot to protect the door, especially from big trucks. Its really quite useless so I have no fear of my plastic door being dinged. (yes, composite door, not metal, hence it wont hold a dent... Think Saturn)

Thanks Dominic, although this summer I finally decided on it's new color. Metallic Royal Blue not sure which of the blue's it's exactly going to be but it's going to look really sharp, along with that, pearl white SS stripes, an SS spoiler and shaved door handles. The thought of molding the rear bumper to the body has also crossed my mind. Perks of working at an autobody shop. I could get all this done for like 500bux.

                               ohhhhhhhhhh

Man I can't wait to get out of these crappy dirt parking lots filled with disrespectfull idiots. My car has been getting treated like crap, other than a scrape all along the bottom of the pass fx (oops my bad) it's full of dings, one good dent and has been keyed twice. Your right, the moulding isn't in a good spot to stop doors but I'm taking what ever I can get. Oh well sucks to be me. Looks great!
