NEVER EVER EVER EVER DO THIS

unless you want to completely ruin your wheels. it wont do it right away but it will do it over time. the salad shooters, just like the formula wheels, are painted and clearcoated.

if you use mothers you will eventually take the paint off -- if you note on the mothers can it says specifically "do not use on painted surfaces"

as for cleaning them -- get some mothers cleaner/wax and use that..it should help..treat the painted wheels just like the paint on your car. to make them look extra nice wax them with the rest of the car. not only will it make them look good, it will also make them easier to clean later on.

I reclearcoated my rims. Take one off at a time, clean it real good with soap/water, then take fine steel wool and bring out the elbow grease on the front and underside of the rims, then clearcoat.
Not only do I use Ceramix (90% dustless) Brake Pads, but even minor brake dust and road grime is supereasy to clean off now.

Simple Green works wonders You can get it just about anywhere... at the grocery store or a place like Walmart.

If you fo use simple green make sure you rise like 2 or 3 times. That stuff is pretty powerful, so make sure you get it all off so it doesn't ruin anything.

Try Grease Lightning. I used to use it on my 86 Monte SS and it was the only thing that would take the brake dust off.

McGwires' Cleaner Wax, It's perfect and cheap. It cleans the wheels and protects the clear coat. Trust me, It's awesome, I recommend it to everyone.

Or from your work since they buy gallons of it weekly

of course I rince it a few times its not too harsh... I am diluting it but same with wheel cleaner you rinse pretty thoroughly.
