• Invisi-Bra?

Do any of you have this on any of your vehicles? I have a black Firebird and am planning on getting my front end smoothed out so it looks brand new again without the rock chips, and I want to protect it, and I DO NOT want a hideous bra on it..

I saw this thing called Invisi-Bra, but I dont live anywhere near the installation sites they offer...where can I buy it and how do I install it??

I know some people on this board have some sort of clear sticky plastic over the front bumpers to protect it.

If i remember correctly Loochy the mod for the forum has it on his car.

3M also makes this, it's called the Invinci-shield.

yeah invinci shield is where it's at. works <arnold>Vontastic<arnold> and the only area that I can tell it's there is the side of the fascia between the wheel and fog light. Rocks hit it, bugs splatters on it and it still shines like it's part of the paint. I'm not as afraid to drive on the freeway now. The only thing thats missing is a "shield" for the WHOLE hood. That is rediculous I know, but they make a strip for the frt edge of it. I got all of it except the mirror and hood edge.

Check with your local tinting places that use 3M tint. Some will have and install the 3M version mentioned above.

I wish that was something I had done to my car when I purchased it new... I wouldn't feel so sore when I wash my car now seeing all the rock chips and permanent bugs.

I think x-pel is made by 3m. It is some pretty cool stuff. They have like a 5000 dollar guarantee that it won't let rocks and bugs damage your paint, or something like that.

You're probably right but I think it'd be worth the expense to change it every year than it is to have the rock chips or have the nose repainted/replaced.

what about putting anything like zaino. I'd think this would interfere with any sort of shine from washing your car.

I have it on my 97'Cavalier. It's good and bad. It's good because it protects the front end and looks decent for about a year or so.. It's BAD because it eventually looks like crap because it begins to get a little cloudy-looking AND you end up getting wax around the edge of it, so it looks like SOMEONE SCRATCHED THE CAR! A Lot of people thought my car was keyed across the hood, because of that.. I recently removed the piece on the hood (after about 3 years) AND the paint is a different color than the rest of the hood (because it was protected) and it cannot be blended now even with a buffer. I say...don't bother, unless you do an immense amount of commuting with the car. It's not really worth it.
