i was wondering if any one has removed the styrofoam in the front of their camaro. whats the process? should it actually be done? i figured GM put it there for a reason, but i would like to explore some options without it there.

i honestly don't think an insurance company would cover damages to your vehicle if they found that you removed the bumper supports. this is what protects you and the components in your car during a collision.

i was rear-ended. i was stopped and the guy that hit me was doing 65. i had to have a new bumper cover and the bumper support. $680 in total damages. if i didn't have that support, my car would've been totaled.

no typo. he was in a '65 mustang. it totaled his car.

by the way, i did remove my front bumper cover today to do some work. what a motherf****r that was. i think my car dropped 50 lbs. in road gravel that was up under some of those parts.

The Styrofoam is not a bumper support... he is referring to the stuff behind the grille

does anyone think better air flow would result from the removal?
