Front plate on 93-97 bird

I live in IL so front plate is a must...
My front bumper is getting re painted and filled. So the last thing i want to do is put holes in it for a plate [img]graemlins/rant.gif[/img]

So the choice i know of are put it on the dash. Sunvisor or underbody spolier..
any help or ideas would help. [img]tongue.gif[/img] ;)

where i am, cops hate the plate on the dash. youre better off with no plate. ive heard of a lot of people getting away with the wind deflector so you wight as well try that.

Don't know about IL but in MO its still illegal even if it's in the winshield. I've never had one on my car, havn't been hasseled about it in the last 4 years, even while being pulled over, no cops have even mentioned it

when I was in cali, I had the plate in my windshield and got pulled over. he said it was illegal because it would sever your head in a bad accident.

hey shane , just a FYI: a guy i used to work with had his plate mounted on his airdam for the radiator, and a cop pulled him over and gave him a ticket for it and told him had he not had a plate on the car he wouldnt have bothered, but putting it down there is illegal too

(sounded like the cop was a dick, but just thought you might wanna know)

i wouldn't even worry about it. here in OH you have to have a front liscense plate, but i don't know of anyone who has gotten pulled over for it.
When i got pulled over speeding. the cop didn't care that i had no front plate. theres no sense drilling up your car if they wont enforce it

why not put where it originally goes but use velcro, just an idea.

I’m from NY and I’m dealing with the same problem. I changed my front grill to the carbon fiber insert and I don’t wont to put on a front plate. COPS I know a lot of them and it doesn’t mater where you live some will care some wont. Just know it a chance you take. I’ve been drive around for 2 months without one. Besides it not like we are driving around in a bright green imports. Cops like F-bodies too. But don’t get made if you get a ticket…

i zip tied mine to my passenger visor... saw a dude in a saleen mustang with the same thing.... he was old though..

i dont like it there very much though. passengers are annoyed by it too... i'd rather just have nothing.
