• 98 Corvette Rims on a Camaro? yay or nay?

I can get a set of 98 Corvetter rims and tires for $400...

How would these look on a Camaro?

I have em on my car and like them a lot. They get a lot of compliments too. They arent flashy, but the bigger tires fill in the tire wells nicely. They're a nice subtle wheel upgrade. When they're clean (which is another plus, super easy to clean) they are almost the same silver as my car and go together well.

The price is what's making me lean towards these tires.

I'm in Hawaii and there is no way in hell that I could get a set of ZO6's or y2k C5 rims for that amount.

The rims also come with Runflats that have 60-70% thread remaining.

I bought mine for 310 bucks

Prepare to do some mods to the rear wheel wells and possibly to the wheel to make em fit. I know on my 95 I've had to shave 1mm out of the center hole of the wheel to fit around the hub and hammer inside the wheel well to fit the 275-40-18s.. But if you go with 275-35s you wont have that problem ;)

Edit: they look better than that its just I took that today modifying my rear wheel well -- Im still working on making mine fit with my drum brakes 'n ****. I only have to hammer the wheel well a little bit more and it'll be PERFECT

They look 100000 times better cleaned up :D

Yeah, they definitely aren't *the best* looking wheels you can possibly get, but they look pretty dang nice for that price especially. The extra grip is nice also.

Here's a pic of mine to show it on a different color:

I don't have any rubbing issues with mine, but I'm not positive if the previous owner did any modifying to the wells. In the end, I like them a lot, and they are much nicer than the stock wheels imho.

They are nice lookin wheels, I would get them if I were you. If they didnt come with the tires, I probably wouldnt, but that is a great deal.

they come with GY runflats... Not sure if that's a good tire, but they have 60-70% tread left..

Your car looks really good with those wheels. My car is Montery Maroon Metallic so I'm hoping that it looks just as good. Would 9.5" wide tires be able to handle 315's?

                            Thanks

hmm. You will have a ***** of a time to fit 315s tho.. You would definately have to get a spacer and longer studs... All I had to do was hammer in the wheel well somewhat, spray it with undercoating spray, and bam.. A little sanding later and they slipped in with no problem whatsoever.. But thats with a 275 wide.... a 315 would be a little more complex..
